A 64 unit residential development in London on a vacant brownfield backland site in a residential area surrounded by gardens, including supported accommodation for local residents with mental health needs.
The landscape design aims to maximise the provision of amenity space by the use of private balconies and roof terraces that provide usable external space in addition to private gardens and communal open space. Grassy mounds make a dynamic and imaginative setting, creating an attractive alternative to traditional play equipment. Extensive green roof areas, some combined with photovoltaic cells, together with sustainable drainage proposals, help make the project more environmentally sensitive.
