A 92-unit residential development on a site in a residential area bounded to the north by Maygrove Peace Gardens, London.
The landscape design deals with the level changes across the site (up to 5 metres difference from the edge of the peace gardens to Maygrove Road), using retaining walls softened by planting, and a variety of planting types to help bind the site into the surrounding landscape context.
The majority of landscape areas are over structure, providing challenges in terms of establishing a mature landscape of communal gardens and private terraces. This is achieved with planters of different heights in materials similar to the facade.
An extensive biodiverse roofscape, using crushed recycled materials and with wild wildflower plug plants, provides nature conservation value.
